Nole targets grass court glory!

Nole has set his sights on adding a first grass court title to his Australian Open crown after signing up to compete in the AEGON Championships which takes place at The Queen’s Club in London, 6th-12th June.

The World Number Three, who won his second Grand Slam title in Melbourne on Sunday, joins the World Number One Rafael Nadal in confirming his participation in the AEGON Championships.

Novak and Nadal met in a classic final at The Queen’s Club in 2008. The Serbian held service-breaks in both sets, but the Spaniard eventually prevailed 7-6, 7-5 before going on to win Wimbledon three weeks later.

“The AEGON Championships is one of the nicest tournaments around”, said Novak, who won the doubles title in 2010 with partner Jonathan Erlich. “The Queen’s Club has got great grass courts, it’s a great atmosphere with always a packed house of spectators, and you just feel good there. Rafa and I had an incredible match in the Queen’s final in 2008 and it was the closest I ever got to a grass court title. Wimbledon is the most important tournament (of the year) for me, and I really want to do well both at Queen’s and at Wimbledon this year.”
