Olympic Games: Nole-Zimonjic advance on opening day in Rio

Nole hit the doubles court at the Olympic Tennis Centre on Saturday pairing with his Davis Cup teammate Nenad Zimonjic.

The Serbian duo won their opening round match of the Olympic tennis tournament outplaying Croatian combination of Marin Cilic and Marin Draganja 6-2, 6-2.

They broke twice in each set to seal the victory in 56 minutes.

Nole and Nenad go on to face either no.3 seeds Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares of Brazil or Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana from Thailand.

Novak will play his singles first round match at the Rio Olympics on Sunday (Monday about 01:30 CET). His rival will be world no.145 Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina (11-3 H2H).
