Semi-final match suspended, play to resume on Sunday

The 2012 US Open semi-final match between Nole and David Ferrer was suspended for the day because of a severe weather warning.

Novak was struggling to adapt to some serious winds. He was 5-2 down in the first set after 32 minutes of play, when the tournament officials evacuated Arthur Ashe Stadium expecting tornado weather to arrive.

Play will resume on Sunday at 11.00 local time (17.00 CET).

For the fifth consecutive year the event will have a Monday final.

Andy Murray (GBR, 3) reached the final by beating Tomas Berdych in four sets 5-7, 6-2,
6-1, 7-6 (7) in three hours and 58 minutes.
