Novak is no.9 seed and will open campaign against Dusan Lajovic. The Serbian star won Monte-Carlo Masters title twice, in 2013 and 2015. Last year, he suffered a quarter-final upset at the hands of David Goffin (2-6, 6-3, 5-7). This will be his 12th appearance at the Masters 1000 event (30-9 record)
Nole is no.10 seed and has a first-round BYE. In the first event after medical intervention on his elbow, the Serbian star will open campaign against a qualifier in round two. He has won the BNP Paribas Open on five occasions (2008, 2011 and 2014-16)
Novak, a record six–time AO titlist, is set to play in his first tour event after Wimbledon last summer. The 30-year-old Serbian star is no.14 seed and will open campaign against world no.63 Donald Young (USA). It will be their third career meeting (2-0 H2H).
