Singles draw has been made for the second Grand Slam event of the season, the Roland Garros, taking place in Paris, from May 27 to June 10.
The French Open first round matches will be played during the first three days of the competition.
No.20 seed and 2016 titlist Novak will open his campaign against Brazilian qualifier Rogerio Dutra Silva (ATP #132, 1-0 H2H).
The 12-time Major champion might face Spaniard David Ferrer in the second round.
Novak’s potential opponents in the later stages of the tournament are:
3rd round: Roberto Bautista-Agut (ESP, 13), Marcos Baghdatis (CYP)
4th round: Grigor Dimitrov (BUL, 4), Fernando Verdasco (ESP, 30)
Quarter-finals: David Goffin (BEL, 8), Pablo Carreno Busta (ESP, 10), Gael Monfils (FRA, 32)
Semi-finals: Alexander Zverev (GER, 2), Dominic Thiem (AUT, 7), Kei Nishikori (JPN, 19)
Finals: Rafael Nadal (ESP, 1), Marin Cilic (CRO, 3), Juan Martin del Potro (ARG, 5), John Isner (USA, 9)
It will be Nole’s 14th appearance on Parisian clay (59-12 record).
Djokovic won his first French Open title in 2016 and completed historic career Grand Slam. He outplayed Andy Murray in the epic final (3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4) and joined Rod Laver, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Andre Agassi, Roy Emerson, Don Budge and Fred Perry, as the only men to win all four major tournaments.
Last year Novak fell to Austrian Dominic Thiem in the quarter-final (6-7, 3-6, 0-6).
