Serbia’s top tennis player Novak Djokovic cruised into the US Open quarter-finals with a dominant straight-sets win over qualifier Jan-Lennard Struff, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.

In the first four games, Djokovic broke Struff’s serve twice and quickly took control of the opening set. The German managed to break back once, but Novak’s solid baseline play secured him a 1-0 lead.

Both players served well at the start of the second set, with no break point chances until 3-3. Then Djokovic stepped up, hitting deep, precise shots that forced Struff into errors, earning another break. A similar scenario in the eighth game helped Novak go up 2-0 in sets.

The four-time US Open champion started the third set confidently, grabbed an early break, and closed out the match with ease.

Djokovic played near-perfect tennis, staying consistent from the first point, serving well, returning sharply, and attacking whenever possible, making this a routine victory after one hour and 49 minutes of play.

Match statistics: aces (12-6), double faults (0-6), winners (33-19), unforced errors (20-32), total points won (90-62).

Next up for Novak is in-form American Taylor Fritz. Djokovic owns a perfect 10-0 H2H record against the fourth seed, who reached the US Open final last year.

The quarter-final match is scheduled on Tuesday.
