Indian Wells Masters 2026 draw was revealed on Monday.
Novak is among the stars who headline the field in “Tennis Paradise”, looking to achieve better result than last year, when he surprisingly made an early exit from the tournament, losing to Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp in the second round (2-6, 6-3, 1-6).
The first ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, the BNP Paribas Open, takes place from March 4 to March 15 in the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Five-time former champion Novak Djokovic is no.3 seed and has a first-round BYE. The first opponent of the Serbian ace will be either Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (FRA) or Kamil Majchrzak (POL).
Novak’s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:
Third round: Corentin Moutet (FRA, 31), Hubert Hurkacz (POL), Aleksandar Kovacevic (USA)
Fourth round: Jack Draper (USA, 14), Francisco Cerundolo (ARG, 19)
Quarterfinals: Taylor Fritz (USA, 7), Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 11), Jiri Lehecka (CZE, 22)
Semifinals: Carlos Alcaraz (ESP, 1), Alex de Minaur (AUS, 6), Alexander Bublik (KAZ, 10), Casper Ruud (NOR, 13)
Jannik Sinner (ITA, 2), Alexander Zverev (GER, 4), Lorenzo Musetti (ITA, 5), Ben Shelton (USA, 8) … are in the opposite half of the draw and he could meet them in the final.
This will be Nole’s 17th appearance in the Californian desert, where he has lifted the trophy five times (2008, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016).
