Nole to carry Serbian flag tonight!

Spectacular 2012 Summer Olympic Games Opening Ceremony will begin tonight at 21.00 local time (22.00 CET); a pre-show will start at the symbolic time of 20.12 (21.12 CET).

When the Serbia’s delegation enters Olympic Stadium in London, Nole will have the honour of carrying the Serbian flag.

”Carrying your country’s flag is a unique experience, maybe once in a lifetime,” Novak said. “I want to enjoy every moment of it. It is an experience that will have a special place in my heart.”

24 hours before the ceremony, Nole addressed the audience in the name of the Serbian Olympic team via video message.

“Hello from London, from Olympic team of Serbia. Preparations are going well, the atmosphere here is great, we’re all very excited for the Olympics, and of course for the Opening Ceremony. Thanks for your support, we hope you will cheer for us in the next couple of weeks, and we’ll do our best to bring Olympic medals to Serbia.”

Serbia will have 115 athletes in London, competing in 15 sports.

At the opening ceremony, teams will enter in alphabetical order, apart from the Greek team, which enters first for the Olympics, and the team of the host nation, Great Britain, who will be marching in last.
