Interesting facts, important records and unique stats from Nole's career.

Novak got iPod as a trophy when he won his first tournament.

In January 2012, Novak defeated Nadal for a seventh consecutive time, this time in five sets to win his third Australian Open title and fifth grand slam singles title overall. The match lasted 5 hours and 53 minutes, making it the longest final in Open Era Grand Slam history, as well as the longest match in Australian Open history.

In January 2011, Novak defeated World No. 2 Roger Federer in the semifinals of the Australian Open to reach his second final at the event. This win makes Djokovic the only player other than Rafael Nadal to have defeated Federer in consecutive grand slams.

Djokovic headed into the clay court season 2011 undefeated since the start of the season — only the 3rd player in the Open Era to achieve this after Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi.

From January to the end of Roland Garros of 2011, Novak made 41-match winning streak on ATP tour. During that period he defeated 28 different players, had 3 victories over then-No.2 Federer, 4 victories over then-No.1 Nadal. Nadal made 37 straight clay court wins before failing to Djokovic in Madrid that year. Novak lost only 9 sets in that period, nine times he won the set 6:0, and had 18 consecutive sets won from Jan. 19 to Feb. 23.

After he lost in bronze medal match at London Olympics (l. to del Potro) on Aug.5, Novak has won 30 of 33 matches until the rest of the year, reaching five straight finals.
