Novak won the Best Male Tennis Player Award at the 21st ESPY Awards ceremony held in the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The ESPY, short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, honors sports achievement in the past calendar year.
The reigning world no.1 came out ahead over his biggest tennis rivals Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.
He was also nominated for Best International Athlete (won by Usain Bolt).
Last year, the 26-year-old Serbian star finished no.1 in the rankings for the second year in a row, winning 6 titles – the Australian Open, Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London, three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophies (Miami, Toronto, Shanghai) and Beijing (500).
The award for Best Female Tennis Player went to Serena Williams.
