The official nominations list for this year’s ESPY Awards is filled with amazing athletes, talented teams and riveting sports moments.
World no.1 Novak Djokovic has been nominated for ESPY Award in two categories:
1. BEST MALE TENNIS PLAYER
(along with Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and Marin Cilic)
2. BEST INTERNATIONAL ATHLETE
(along with football stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and golfer Lydia Ko)
The ESPY, short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, honours sports achievement in the past calendar year. It gathers top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances.
Nole finished 2014 as the world no.1 for the third time. The 28-year-old Serbian star had another great season with a 61-8 match record, including seven titles – one Major (Wimbledon), four ATP World Tour Masters 1000 trophies (Indian Wells, Miami, Rome, Paris), one ATP 500 event (Beijing) and the season finale. He was also runner-up at Roland Garros.

Winners will be revealed during the 23rd annual awards show at the Microsoft Theater, hosted by comedian, actor and television host Joel McHale, on July 15 in Los Angeles.
Novak won the ESPY Best Male Tennis Player Award for achievements in 2011 and 2012.
