Main singles draw for the 2023 edition of the US Open has been made on Thursday.

No.2 seed Novak Djokovic will open campaign in his 17th US Open appearance against Alexandre Muller (ATP #85) of France.

The reigning Australian Open and Roland Garros champion might face either Bernabe Zapata Miralles (ESP) or Ethan Quinn (USA) in the second round.

Novak’s possible opponents in the later stages of the tournament are:

3rd round: Laslo Djere (SRB, 32), Brandon Nakashima (USA)
4th round: Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN, 15), Francisco Cerundolo (ARG, 20)
Quarter-finals: Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 7), Taylor Fritz (USA, 9)
Semi-finals: Holger Rune (DEN, 4), Casper Ruud (NOR, 5), Fances Tiafoe (USA, 10), Sebastian Korda (USA, 31)

Carlos Alcaraz (ESP, 1), Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 3), Jannik Sinner (ITA, 6), Andrey Rublev (RUS, 8)… are in the top half of the draw, and Nole can’t meet them before the final.

The Serbian tennis ace won 81 matches of 94 he played at the US Open.

Novak will be looking for his 24th Grand Slam title in New York, where he lifted the trophy in 2011, 2015 and 2018.

Last year, Djokovic did not participate in the US Open because of vaccination status.

Competitions at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows begin on August 28, and will last until September 10.
