The draw for Croatia vs Serbia Davis Cup World Group quarter-final tie (09 July – 11 July 2010) has been made on Thursday in Split.
Novak Djokovic (2) faces Ivan Ljubicic (16) in the first rubber at 14:00 CET. World no. 44 Viktor Troicki will follow against Marin Cilic (13 ).
The doubles match is scheduled on Saturday at 15:00 CET. Serbian duo Nenad Zimonjic and Janko Tipsarevic face Ivan Dodig and Antonio Veic.
On Sunday at 12:00 noon CET Djokovic plays against Cilic. The second match sees Troicki take on Ljubicic.
Team captains have the right to change the players until an hour before the match.
“Serbian tennis has experienced a great success in the past three years. So far this has been the best achievement we’ve had as a nation in this sport. So we don’t feel big pressure, but we do have the responsibility of carrying the hopes of the nation. We have a very good team, with the good quality that can challenge any team in the world”, said Novak ahead of Serbia’s first-ever quarter-final.
Spaladium Arena capacity is 10,000 seats, Croatia will host Serbia on hard court (RuKortHardTournament MF).
