Serbia Davis Cup team arrived in Split on Monday with a full squad, as world no.2 Novak Djokovic lines up alongside Viktor Troicki (44), Janko Tipsarevic (47) and Nenad Zimonjic (no.1 doubles player in the world). Marko Djokovic (1369) is also with the team.

The Davis Cup by BNP Paribas World Group quarterfinal tie against Croatia will be played on an indoor hard court at the Spaladium Arena in Split from 9-11 July.

Marin Cilic (13), Ivan Ljubicic (16), Ivan Dodig (159) and Antonio Veic (171) have been named in the team for Croatia.

The draw is scheduled on Thursday, July 8, at 13:00 CET.

Two singles matches will be played on Friday, July 9, starting at 14:00 CET. The doubles match is scheduled on Saturday, July 10, at 15:00 CET. The remaining two singles will be played on Sunday, July 11, starting at 12:00 noon CET.

Novak is optimistic ahead of the tie against 2005 Davis Cup champions.

“Given the quality of our team, it is logical to expect victory. Of course, it is hard to predict what will happen there, because being a host in Davis Cup matches is an advantage. But, as I said, we have quality, which we’ve been confirming years back and we can challenge any team on any surface in any country. I am optimistic,”said Novak.

“We have already made a great success getting to the quarterfinals, but our aim is to advance even further and do something great for our team this year. We have a good chance to pass the Croats, and I think we can go all the way to the finals,” concluded the best Serbian tennis player.
