Djokovic powers into the semifinals in Marseille!



Novak Djokovic won the battle of the 21-year olds, outlasting German Mischa Zverev (76) in straight sets, 6:3 6:3 in 1 hour and 8 minutes.

Nole earned himself two break points in the sixth game of the first set. He materialised the second to go up 4:2, and then held to increase his lead to 5:2. There were no breaks of service til the end of the set, and Djokovic closed it 6:3.

The best Serbian tennis player continued playing in the same rhythm . He broke his opponent’s service in the opening game of the second set . No.1 seed had to put an effort to hold in the fourth game, but he managed to keep the lead, and win the set 6:3.

Zverev didn’t have a single chance for a break in the match.

Djokovic will play Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the finals of the Open 13 tournament in Marseille who beat Spaniard Feliciano Lopez.

Novak has played four times against Tsonga, and won only one match, last year in the finals of Australian Open. Tsonga was better in Bangkok, Paris and Shanghai.

Semifinal matches are scheduled on Saturday.
