The Serbian eighth-seeded duo lost the opening round match of the Olympic tennis tournament to Swedish combination Johan Brunstrom / Robert Lindstedt 6-7 (8),
3-6.
Novak will play his singles second round match at the Olympics on Tuesday. His rival will be world no.22 Andy Roddick who eliminated Martin Klizan of Slovakia in straight sets.
The American leads their H2H 5-3, Nole won their last encounter at the 2010 ATP World Tour Finals in London 6-2, 6-3.
