Singles draw for the second Grand Slam tournament of the season, the Roland Garros, will be held on Friday, May 24.
World no.1 and 2012 runner up, Novak Djokovic, tops the men’s side of the draw, followed by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer.
Last year’s final is the best result so far for Nole at the French Open (l.to Nadal 4-6, 3-6, 6-2, 5-7).
En route to his first final in Paris, Djokovic defeated Potito Starace, Blaz Kavcic, Nicolas Devilder, Andreas Seppi, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Roger Federer. He will defend 1200 ATP points in “The City of Light”.
It will be Novak’s ninth appearance on Parisian clay (31-8 record). He finished as semifinalist three times (2007-08, 2011) and quarterfinalist twice (2006, 2010).
The six-time Major champion, who will turn 26 on Wednesday, May 22, has won three titles in 2013: The Australian Open, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters.
