Nole makes confident start in Miami!

World number three Novak Djokovic booked himself a place in the third round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami (hard, $4,500,000) with an easy 6-3 6-2 win over Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic in 1 hour and 11 minutes.

The 2007 champion was in total control of the match.

Novak made a crucial break in the fourth game of the first set. He kept that advantage and took the set 6-3.

The Serb broke his opponent’s service twice in the second set and closed it 6-2.

Djokovic served 4 aces to Dancevic’s 1, and won a total of 65 points to the Canadian’s 46. The 21-year old saved all six break points he faced, and capitalised on 3 of his 5 break point opportunities.

Nole’s third round rival will be Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu who defeated Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis in three sets.

It will be their fifth meeting. At the moment, Novak leads 3:1.
