Draw for the 80th edition of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia was made on Monday.

The ATP Masters 1000 tournament takes place from May 10 to May 21 at Foro Italico in Rome.

No.1 seed and six-time champion Novak Djokovic has a first round BYE. He will open title defence campaign in R2 against Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG, ATP #61).

Novak’s potential opponents in the later stages of the competition are:

3rd round: Grigor Dimitrov (BUL, 26), Stan Wawrinka (SUI)
4th round: Cameron Norrie (GBR, 13), Alex De Minaur (AUS, 17)
Quarter-finals: Holger Rune (DEN, 7), Felix Auger-Alliasime (CAN, 10), Sebastian Korda (USA, 22), Miomir Kecmanovic (SRB, 30)
Semi-finals: Casper Ruud (NOR, 4), Jannik Sinner (ITA, 8), Karen Khachanov (RUS, 11)

Novak lifted the Rome Masters trophy in 2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2022.

Last year, he defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final (6-0, 7-6) .
