Novak extended his winning run at Wimbledon, advancing to the third round with another commanding performance.

The seventh seed defeated Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the match that concluded the third day of competition at the All England Club.

The Centre Court encounter lasted just one hour and 38 minutes, with Novak in complete control from start to finish. The Serbian committed only seven unforced errors throughout the match and secured his second straight-sets victory in London.

Novak made a confident start, relying on a solid serve that remained consistent throughout the opening set. The decisive moment came in the fourth game when he earned the first break of the match. Tsitsipas responded with three consecutive break points in the following game, but Djokovic saved them all before consolidating for a 4-1 lead. He comfortably protected the advantage for the remainder of the set to take it 6-3.

The second set was closely contested, with both players holding serve comfortably for much of the set. Neither player created a significant opening until the closing stages, when Novak struck in the ninth game to break serve. He then confidently served out the set to move within one set of victory.

As the match progressed, Novak continued to raise his level, taking full control of the baseline exchanges and applying constant pressure on return. Tsitsipas struggled to find any rhythm, while the Serbian dictated play with authority. Two breaks of serve allowed Djokovic to wrap up the third set 6-2 and seal his place in the third round.

Statistics: aces (12-16), double faults (2-1), winners (33-25), unforced errors (7-24), total points won (86-55).

Novak will face 25th seed Arthur Rinderknech of France in the third round on Friday. The Frenchman advanced after defeating American Martin Damm in straight sets.

It will be the first career meeting between the two players.
