Rome Masters draw revealed



The draw has been made for Internazionali BNL d’Italia, the fifth ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in 2011.

Second-seeded Novak Djokovic has a first-round BYE. He will begin his campaign against a qualifier.

Novak’s potential opponents in the later stages of the tournament are:

3rd round: Stanislas Wawrinka (SUI,14)
Quarter-finals: Robin Soderling (SWE,5), Nicolas Almagro (ESP,9), Fernando Verdasco (ESP)
Semi-finals: Andy Murray (GBR,4), Jurgen Melzer (AUT,8), Viktor Troicki (SRB,15), Gilles Simon (FRA)
Finals: Rafael Nadal (ESP,1), Roger Federer (SUI,3), David Ferrer (ESP,6), Tomas Berdych (CZE,7)

Novak was champion of Rome in 2008. Last year he lost to Fernando Verdasco in quarter-finals.

The last of three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments contested on clay will be played in the capital of Italy for the prize money of € 2,227,500.

The winner will get €438,000 and 1000 ATP points.

Defending champion is world no.1 Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
