Gentlemen’s singles draw has been made for Wimbledon, the most prestigious tennis tournament in the world.

The third Grand Slam of the season, the only grass court Major event, will be held from July 3 to July 16, at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.

128 players will be playing for The Championships trophy.

In his 18th appearance at Wimbledon, Novak will open title defence against world no.68 Pedro Cachin (ARG) on Monday at 13:30 local time / 14:30 CET.

The second seed and seven-time champion might face the winner of the match between Brandon Nakashima (USA) – Jodan Thompson (AUS) in the second round.

Novak’s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament:

Third round: Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG, 29), Stan Wawrinka (SUI)
Fourth round: Lorenzo Musetti (ITA, 14), Hubert Hurkacz (POL, 17),
Quarter-finals: Andrey Rublev (RUS, 7), Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN, 11), Nick Kyrgios (AUS, 30)
Semi-finals: Casper Ruud (NOR, 4), Jannik Sinner (ITA, 8), Taylor Fritz (USA, 9), Daniel Evans (GBR, 27)

Finals: Carlos Alcaraz (ESP, 1), Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 3), Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 5), Holger Rune (DEN, 6), Cameron Norrie (GBR, 12), Alexander Zverev (GER, 19)

Nole won his seventh Championships Cup in 2022, and his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title, beating Nick Kyrgios 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 in the final.

The world no.2 is looking to win his fourth trophy in 2023 after triumphing at the Adelaide International 1, the Australian Open and the Roland Garros.

* The 2022 edition was held without points after organisers decided to ban Russian and Belarussian players from participating. Novak lost the 2,000 points he earned at the 2021 Wimbledon and the Serbian star was among many players who were affected due to the decision, as he did not gain a single point for the triumph.
