Novak raced to a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 victory against Czech Tomas Machac to advance to the fourth round at the Australian Open for a 17th time. He will face Jiri Lehecka (CZE, 24) for a place in the quarter-final.
AO 2025: Novak defeats Faria to move to third round
Novak withstood the Jaime Faria challenge and won 6-1, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-2 to advance in Melbourne. Next up for the 10-time Australian Open champion will be a third-round meeting with 26th seed from Czech Republic, Tomas Machac (1-1).

Novak reaches Brisbane quarter-finals
Novak and Gael Monfils met for the 20th time on Thursday, when the top seed from Serbia made it 20-0 in the pair’s ATP H2H series with a 6-3, 6-3 second round victory at the ATP 250 event in Queensland.

In the second match, Qinwen Zheng defeated Olga Danilovic 6-4, 6-2. Nole and Olga won a deciding mixed doubles rubber 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 to keep Serbia in contention for quarter-finals.

Novak's 7-5, 6-1, 6-2 semifinal victory over American Tommy Paul on Friday was his 27th win in a row in Melbourne. In Sunday's final (09:00 CET), Djokovic will face third seed Stefanos Tsitsipas for a 13th time in their careers for the Championship trophy and the World no.1 spot!
