Novak beat Carlos Alcaraz in the quarter-finals at Melbourne Park 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in three hours and 37 minutes. The 10-time Australian Open champion is through to his 50th Grand Slam semi-final. He will face German second seed Alexander Zverev (8-4 H2H) on Friday.

Novak raced to a 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 victory against Czech Tomas Machac to advance to the fourth round at the Australian Open for a 17th time. He will face Jiri Lehecka (CZE, 24) for a place in the quarter-final.

10-time Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic fought back from a set down to beat 19-year-old American wildcard Nishesh Basavareddy 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-2. The match lasted two hours and 59 minutes. The seventh seed goes on to face qualifier Jaime Faria (POR, ATP no.125).
