Sinner ends Novak’s Australian Open title defence
Novak, who owns a record 10 Australian Open titles, suffered a 1-6, 2-6, 7-6 (6), 3-6 defeat to no.4 seed Jannik Sinner in Rod Laver Arena semi-finals on Friday. It was the first time the Serbian star has been beaten at Melbourne Park when he reached the last four.
Novak powers into his ninth Wimbledon final!
Novak defeated eighth seed Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to reach the finals at the grass-court major for the ninth time. He became the first player in history to reach 35 Grand Slam singles finals! The 36-year-old Serbian star will face top seed Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) in Sunday's title match.
