Lajovic ends Novak’s Banja Luka campaign
Novak’s Srpska Open campaign was ended on Friday when he fell to Dusan Lajovic 4-6, 6-7 in two hours and 29 minutes. The Serbian and world no.1 will head to Rome for the Internazionali BNL d’Italia (May 10 - May 21), where he was triumphant six times (2008, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2020 and 2022).
Novak overcomes Van Assche challenge in Banja Luka
Top seed Novak Djokovic earned his place in the last eight of the Srpska Open with a 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-2 victory against 18-year-old Frenchman Luca Van Assche.

Novak is a top seed and will open his bid for a 94th tour-level title in R2 against Luca Van Assche (FRA). The ATP 250 clay-court event will be held from April 17 to April 23 on the grounds of the national tennis centre in Mladen Stojanovic Park in Banja Luka.
