Novak falls to Popyrin in R3 of the US Open
Defending champion Novak Djokovic was eliminated at the 2024 US Open on Friday night after a 4-6, 4-6, 6-2, 4-6 third round loss to 28th seed Alexei Popyrin.
US Open: Novak advances to R3 after Djere retires
Four-time US Open champion advanced to the third round on Wednesday evening when his countryman Laslo Djere retired early in the third set. The second seed led 6-4, 6-4, 2-0 before the retirement under the closed roof of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Novak eases through in New York, faces Djere in R2
Novak began his 2024 US Open campaign with a dominant first-round victory in Arthur Ashe Stadium. The defending champion defeated qualifier Radu Albot 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 in two hours and seven minutes. Next up for Djokovic is Laslo Djere.
