Novak Djokovic’s run at the Cincinnati Masters came to an end in the second round. The third seed was defeated by world No. 50 Thiago Agustin Tirante of Argentina, who came from a set down to win 2-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Novak Djokovic displayed mature and combative tennis in the US Open quarterfinals, defeating fourth seed Taylor Fritz 6-3, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4. With this victory, the four-time New York champion advanced to his 14th US Open semifinal, extending his perfect head-to-head record against Fritz to 11-0.

The Serbian star and No. 7 seed battled past world No. 35 Cameron Norrie in the third round after two hours and 50 minutes of play, scoring a 3–1 victory: 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-3.

Novak starts his US Open Series campaign at the Rogers Cup, taking place in Toronto, Canada, from July 25-31.
