He will open his campaign in R2 against Salvatore Caruso (ITA, ATP #87, WC).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Novak\u2019s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:<\/p>\n<p>3rd round: Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN, 16), Filip Krajinovic (SRB)<br \/>\nQuarter-finals: Gael Monfils (FRA, 5), Stan Wawrinka (SUI, 10)<br \/>\nSemi-finals: Matteo Berrettini (ITA, 4), David Goffin (BEL, 6)<br \/>\nFinals: Rafael Nadal (ESP, 2), Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 3), Fabio Fognini (ITA, 7)<\/p>\n<p>Nole conquered Rome in 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2015. Last year he finished runner-up, following a 0-6, 6-4, 1-6 defeat to Rafael Nadal in the final.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament is celebrating its 90th birthday.
