The world no.1 will open his 2021 clay-court season campaign against Jannik Sinner (ITA, ATP #22, H2H 0-0) on Wednesday, in his first appearance since winning the historic ninth Australian Open title.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Novak\u2019s potential rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd round:<\/strong> Hubert Hurkacz (POL, 13), Dusan Lajovic (SRB)<br \/>\n<strong>Quarter-finals:<\/strong> Alexander Zverev (GER, 5), David Goffin (BEL, 11)<br \/>\n<strong>Semi-finals:<\/strong> Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 4), Matteo Berrettini (ITA, 8), Cristian Garin (CHI, 16)<\/p>\n<p>Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 2), Rafael Nadal (ESP, 3), Andrey Rublev (RUS, 6), Diego Schwartzman (ARG, 7)&#8230;\u00a0 are in opposite half of the draw, and Novak can\u2019t meet them before the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Djokovic won the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters title twice, in 2013 and 2015.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He lost to Daniil Medvedev 3-6, 6-4, 2-6 in 2019 quarter-finals.
