I made him play, I knew return was going to be one of the keys. I\u2019m pleased with my level.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Match statistics: aces (13-5), double faults (5-2), winners (33-20), unforced errors (20-28), total points won (90-58).<\/p>\n<p><strong>For a place in the last 16, Novak will meet 56th-ranked Kei Nishikori. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 2014 US Open runner-up and former world no.4 defeated Mackenzie McDonald in five sets (7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 2-6, 6-3) after three hours and 57 minutes of play.<\/p>\n<p>The Serbian star owns a 17-2 ATP H2H record against the Japanese.
