Eight seeds (1-8) get BYE in the first round.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Record six-time champion Novak is no.1 seed and will open his quest for a seventh title in the second round against Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG, ATP no.31).<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Novak\u2019s possible rivals in the later stages of the competition are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd round<\/strong>: Ben Shelton (USA, 15), Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (ESP)<br \/>\n<strong>Quarter-finals<\/strong>: Holger Rune (DEN, 6), Taylor Fritz (USA, 9), Stan Wawrinka (SUI)<br \/>\n<strong>Semi-finals<\/strong>: Jannik Sinner (ITA, 4), Andrey Rublev (RUS, 5), Richard Gasquet (FRA)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finals<\/strong>: Carlos Alcaraz (ESP, 2), Daniil Medvedev (RUS, 3), Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 7), Alexander Zverev (GER, 10)<\/p>\n<p>It will be Novak\u2019s 17th appearance at the Paris Masters. The 36-year-old Serbian star won the event in 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2019 and 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Last year he finished runner-up to Holger Rune (6-3, 3-6, 5-7).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Djokovic teamed with compatriot Miomir Kecmanovic for Paris doubles victory.
