He last played in Beijing in 2015, when he defeated Rafael Nadal in the final.<\/p>\n<p>This will be Novak&#8217;s first tournament following his participation in the US Open.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;I am very happy to announce that after many years I am returning to Beijing for the China Open. I am very excited to come back and play in front of all of you at the National Tennis Center, one of the most beautiful places in tennis, a place where I have incredible memories and great successes throughout my career.
