Nole continued his quest for an Olympic Games<\/a> medal in brilliant fashion on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

2012 Australian Open and Miami champion<\/strong> booked his place in the last 16 of the singles tennis competition\u00a0<\/strong>with a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win over USA’s Andy Roddick at All England Club, Wimbledon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 25-year-old Belgrade native hit 14 aces and 34 winners, converting all four break point opportunities for victory in just 54 minutes, under the closed roof on Centre Court.<\/p>\n

Nole left little chance for the American, nullifying his biggest weapon with masterful returns. He broke twice in each set for fourth win in their nine career meetings.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the perfect match in every sense,\u201d<\/strong> said Novak. \u201cI delivered my best game, I think, so far this year on grass courts.\u00a0I didn\u2019t expect to serve as many aces, but both of my matches that I\u2019ve played here I\u2019ve served really, really well. So that\u2019s something encouraging for the next challenge.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Second-seeded Serbian is making his second appearance at Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

The 2008 Beijing bronze medalist will next play another former world no.1, currently no.159 in the ATP rankings, Lleyton Hewitt.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Australian defeated\u00a0world no.14 Marin Cilic of Croatia 6-4, 7-5. Djokovic and Hewitt have played six times,\u00a0Novak won their last five meetings, the most recent in R4 of 2012 Australian Open 6-1, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.<\/p>\n
