After winning the first major event of the season in brilliant fashion, Novak has consolidated his no.1 ranking.<\/p>\n

The Serbian tennis ace made history with a 6-7 (2), 7-6 (3), 6-3, 6-2 win over Andy Murray in the Australian Open final on Sunday, becoming the first man since 1968 to win three consecutive titles in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

In the latest ATP Ranking list<\/a>, Djokovic has 12,920 points, followed by Swiss Roger Federer with 10,265 points and Briton Andy Murray with 8,480 points.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spaniard David Ferrer has surpassed his countryman Rafael Nadal, who will make his comeback from injury in\u00a0Vi\u00f1a del Mar, Chile,\u00a0after a seven month absence from the tour.<\/p>\n

Novak is also on top of the ATP Race to London standings with 2000 points.<\/p>\n

The six-time Grand Slam champion will join his teammates for next weekend\u2019s\u00a0Davis Cup World Group first round tie against Belgium, to be played on 1-3 February in Charleroi.<\/p>\n
