World no.1 Novak Djokovic will start his US Open Series campaign at the Rogers Cup<\/a>, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto, Canada (hard, $3,146,920), to be held from August 4-10.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wimbledon champion won 360 points last year. He lost to Spaniard Rafael Nadal in semi-finals (4-6, 6-3, 5-7).<\/p>\n

A week later, there is one more ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event, the Western & Southern Open<\/a> in Cincinnati (August 10-17).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Novak won 180 ATP points last year by reaching quarter-finals (l. to John Isner 6-7, 6-3, 5-7). It is the only Masters 1000 tournament he still hasn’t won.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old Belgrade native will then have a week off before the last Grand Slam in 2014 \u2013 the US Open<\/a> (August 25-September 8). <\/strong><\/p>\n

Last year, he finished runner-up to Rafael Nadal (2-6, 6-3, 4-6, 1-6).<\/p>\n

It will be Novak’s 10th appearance in New York, where he lifted the trophy in 2011.<\/p>\n

After the US Open, Nole goes to Asia and Europe, where he will defend four titles: Beijing (ATP 500), Shanghai and Paris (ATP 1000) and ATP World Tour Finals in London (Category 1500).<\/strong><\/p>\n
