Novak’s win over Andy Murray in the Australian Open<\/a> final on Sunday has consolidated his no.1 ranking.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Serbian tennis star clinched his eighth Grand Slam crown with a 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-0 win.<\/p>\n

He has five Australian Open titles, the most in the Open era, which began in 1968, and the second-most in history, behind Australian Roy Emerson who won six titles (1961, 1963-67).<\/p>\n

In the latest ATP Ranking list<\/a>, Djokovic has 13,045 points, followed by Swiss Roger Federer with 9,245 points and Spaniard Rafael Nadal with 5,745 points. Andy Murray has returned to the no.4 ranking, rejoining the so-called Big Four of men’s tennis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Novak is also on top of the ATP Race to London<\/a> standings with 2,045 points.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Next stop for Nole will be the Dubai Duty Free Tennis\u00a0Championships<\/a> from February 23-28. The four-time former titlist lost to Federer in the semi-finals last year.<\/p>\n
