After winning Doha, the Australian Open and the first two Masters 1000 events in 2016, Novak is full of confidence ahead of the European clay-court swing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The world no.1 will first compete at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters<\/a> (April 10-17). Last year, he won his second crown there, beating Tomas Berdych in the final (7-5, 4-6, 6-3).<\/p>\n

After two-year absence, Novak will be back at the Mutua Madrid Open<\/a> (May 1-8). The Serbian star won the event in 2011.<\/p>\n

Novak\u2019s last tournament ahead of the second Grand Slam of the season will be the Rome Masters (May 8-15). The 28-year-old Belgrade native won his fourth trophy at the Internazionali BNL d\u2019Italia<\/a> last year when he beat Roger Federer in the final (6-3, 6-4).<\/p>\n

The only Major event that Novak still hasn\u2019t won, the Roland Garros<\/a>, will take place in Paris from May 22-June 5. Last year, Nole fell to Stan Wawrinka in the final (6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 4-6).<\/p>\n
