World no.1 Novak Djokovic produced sublime form in his fourth career win against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, ousting the 15th seed 6-2, 6-1 on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2011 champion needed just 68 minutes to reach the quarter-finals of the Mutua Madrid Open<\/a>, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 clay-court tournament in the capital of Spain.<\/p>\n

Novak capitalised on five of his eight break point chances and denied his rival a single break point opportunity.<\/p>\n

The Serbian top seed commanded 86 per cent of points on his first serve and won 13\/14 points at the net, improving to a 30-2 match record in 2016.<\/p>\n

“Everything worked very well. I didn’t give him too much time. I think I used the variation of my shots, opening up the court – flat, down the lines, slices and, also, different rotations on the serve. I’m very, very pleased with the performance.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Match statistics<\/u>: aces (1-1), double faults (0-0), winners (25-11), unforced errors (11-15), total points won (59-34).<\/p>\n
