World no.1 Novak Djokovic will start his US Open Series campaign at the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank<\/a>, an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto, Canada (July 25-31). The official draw will take place on Friday, July 22.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2007, 2011 and 2012 champion won 600 points last year. He lost to Andy Murray in the final (4-6, 6-4, 3-6).<\/p>\n

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games<\/a> tennis event will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 06-14. Novak won the Olympic bronze medal in Beijing 2008. In London 2012, he fell in the bronze medal match to Juan Martin del Potro.<\/p>\n

A week later, another ATP Masters 1000 event, the Western & Southern Open<\/a>, begins in Cincinnati (August 15-22).<\/p>\n

Novak won 600 ATP points in 2015. He finished runner-up for the fifth time, falling to Roger Federer in the final 6-7 (1), 3-6. It is the only Masters 1000 tournament Nole still hasn’t won.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old Belgrade native will have a week off before the last Grand Slam in 2016 \u2013 the US Open<\/a> (August 29-September 11).<\/p>\n

It will be Novak\u2019s 12th appearance in New York, where he lifted the trophy in 2011 and 2015. Last year he beat Roger Federer in the final (6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4).<\/p>\n
