After helping Serbia to reach the Davis Cup semi-final, Novak begins preparations for the European clay-court swing.<\/p>\n

The world no.2 will first compete at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters<\/a> (April 16-23) where he’s lifted the championship trophy twice. Last year, he was stopped in the second round by Jiri Vesely (4-6, 6-2, 4-6).<\/p>\n

Two weeks later, Novak will be back at the Mutua Madrid Open<\/a> (May 8-14). Last year, he won his second crown there, beating Andy Murray in the final (6-2, 3-6, 6-3).<\/p>\n

Novak\u2019s last tournament ahead of the second Grand Slam event of the season will be the Internazionali BNL d\u2019Italia<\/a> (May 14-21). The four-time former titlist finished runner-up in Rome last year, following a 3-6, 3-6 defeat to Andy Murray in the final.<\/p>\n

The 2017 Roland Garros<\/a> will take place in Paris from May 28-June 11. Last year, Novak won his first French Open title and completed the historic career Grand Slam. He outplayed Andy Murray in the epic final (3-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-4).<\/p>\n
