There was no problem in that tie-break, Davydenko just played much better. He was obviously too good for me today. I’m disappointed, because I think I played a great match, and I wanted to reach another final. On the other hand, I have to admit this is not bad either. I’ve had fantastic two weeks in China, I won one tournament and played semis here in Shanghai, so I think I can be satisfied with my performance”-said Novak.{nl}{nl}Davydenko said he wasn’t sure if the player who played better won, and that Novak had every reason to be proud of himself and his results.{nl}{nl}“The match lasted three hours and was decided on a tie-break, which tells enough how difficult it was to win. Who was better? I don’t know. He was better, but I won. He made many mistakes and also lost concentration, and I got the chance to advance into finals”-said Davydenko.

The best Serbian tennis player of all-time will not contend for title at the Masters tournament in Chinese city of Shanghai.
