As the only player to win seven trophies in Melbourne, Novak has written a new page in tennis history. With a magnificent 6-3, 6-2, 6-3 win over second seed Rafael Nadal in 2019 Australian Open final, he surpassed Roy Emerson (AUS) and Roger Federer (SUI) in terms of all-time victories.

Novak won a record-equalling 33rd ATP Masters 1000 title at the Mutua Madrid Open when he beat young gun Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4 in the final. It is his third trophy in the capital of Spain.

With a 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 13-12 (3) victory over Roger Federer in 2019 Wimbledon men’s singles final, Novak captured his fifth Championships trophy and 16th Major title.

Novak won the ATP Tokyo title on his tournament debut in October, following a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Australian qualifier John Millman in the final.

Nole claimed a record-extending fifth Rolex Paris Masters 1000 title and his 77th career trophy with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Denis Shapovalov in the final.
