After the victorious 2012 Asian Tour, Nole spent a couple of days in Belgrade with his family and friends. He used his short break also to visit Montenegro and attend the Consecration of the St. Archangel Mihailo church in Jasenovo Polje.
The Serbian tennis star is now in Monte Carlo, preparing for the upcoming tournaments, the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event in Paris and the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London.
Djokovic will defend 180 points at the ninth and final Masters of the season, taking place from October 29 to November 4 in Bercy. Last year he reached quarter-finals, when he was forced to withdraw due to injury.
It will be Novak’s eighth appearance at the BNP Paribas Masters, where he lifted the trophy in 2009 with a 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 win over Gael Monfils.
The prestigious season-ending championships, featuring the top eight singles players and doubles teams, will be played from November 5 to November 12 at the O2 Arena in London. Nole scored one Round Robin win last year, so he will defend only 200 points.
Novak won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008 defeating Nikolay Davydenko 6-1, 7-5 in the final. It was the last time that the year-end tournament took place in Shanghai.
2011 Basel, Paris and London points will drop down on November 5, 2012, on the first day of the ATP World Tour Finals, which will result in change atop of the ATP world rankings.
