The draw for the Paris Olympic tennis tournament (July 27 to August 4, 2024) has been made on Thursday.

World no.2 Novak Djokovic is seeking his first ever gold medal in what will be his fifth appearance at the Games after 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

The 37-year-old Serbian star was a bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In London 2012, he fell in the bronze medal match to Juan Martin del Potro, who also beat him in the first round of the 2016 Rio Olympics. Pablo Carreno Busta defeated Novak in a bronze medal match at the 2020 (2021) Tokyo Olympics.

Djokovic is a top seed (Sinner withdrew) and will open his campaign against Matthew Ebden (AUS) on Saturday about 14.00 CET. It will be their first career meeting.

Novak’s possible rivals in the later stages of the tournament are:

3rd round: Arthur Fils (FRA, 14)
Quarter-finals: Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE, 8), Sebastian Baez (ARG, 12)
