Second-seeded Novak Djokovic booked his place in the finals at the Gerry Weber Open defeating world no.136 Belgian Olivier Rochus 7-6(7), 6-4 in 1 hour and 55 minutes.
Djokovic saved a break point in the opening game of the match. He broke his opponent’s service in the second game and then held to increase his lead to 3-0. The Serb failed to capitalise on a break point in the fourth game. Rochus started playing better, Nole was making more unforced errors. The Belgian used his chances and broke back for 4-3. Nole saved two set points before he clinched it 9-7, making one mini-break more than the Belgian.
The best Serbian tennis player made the only break in the second set in the fifth game. It was enough for him to win the match using his third match point for 6-4.
