The top seed capitalised on five of the 12 break point opportunities he created and saved three of four break points he faced on Suzanne-Lenglen court, recording his 24th win in a row. Djokovic won 84% of points on his first service and was 10/14 on net approaches.

Novak will next face rising tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis (ATP #84) in their first career meeting. The 19-year-old from Adelaide was a 3-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 8-6 winner over no.27 seed, his fellow Australian Bernard Tomic.
Making his 11th appearance on Parisian clay (44-10 record), Djokovic is looking to become the eighth man in history to complete the career Grand Slam.
