World no.1 Novak Djokovic needed one hour and 46 minutes to beat 55th-ranked Gilles Muller of Luxemburg 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 on Thursday for a place in the third round of the 2015 Roland Garros.

The top seed capitalised on five of the 12 break point opportunities he created and saved three of four break points he faced on Suzanne-Lenglen court, recording his 24th win in a row. Djokovic won 84% of points on his first service and was 10/14 on net approaches.

Match statistics: aces (3-4), double faults (1-6), winners (35-23), unforced errors (18-26), total points won (95-63).

Novak will next face rising tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis (ATP #84) in their first career meeting. The 19-year-old from Adelaide was a 3-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 8-6 winner over no.27 seed, his fellow Australian Bernard Tomic.

Making his 11th appearance on Parisian clay (44-10 record), Djokovic is looking to become the eighth man in history to complete the career Grand Slam.
