Nole reaches finals in Basel for the second year in a row!



Nole has reached the Swiss Indoors Basel final for the second year in a row. He will now attempt to defend his ATP World Tour title for the third time in his career.

The best Serbian tennis player and no.2 seed beat his good friend and compatriot world no.32 Viktor Troicki in straight sets 7-6(4), 6-4 in 1 hour and 37 minutes to advance into the finals.

Novak was broken in the eleventh game of the first set, but he broke back immediately after saving three set points to level the result to 6-6. He clinched the set winning tie-breaker 7-4 in 52 minutes.

Djokovic used his fourth break point in the seventh game of the second set and saved a break point before holding for 5-3 lead. The 23-year-old served out the set and match 6-4.

Novak converted 2 of his 5 break point opportunities, while Troicki capitalised on 1 of his 3 chances.

Statistics: aces (3-8), double faults (2-1), total points won (69-66).

Djokovic is appearing in his 4th final of the year. He will play against no.1 seed Swiss Roger Federer (def. American Andy Roddick 6-2 6-4) in attempt to win his19th career title and third in 2010.
