Nole storms into the fourth round of Wimbledon!

World number four Novak Djokovic advanced into the fourth round at The Championships with a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win over American Mardy Fish in 1 hour and 58 minutes.

Djokovic started stronger and his pressure brought result in game seven when, facing the fifth break point, Fish sent a forehand wide.

The fourth seed quickly wrapped up the opening set, and with the wind in his sails raced into a 4-0 lead in the second with Fish continuing to make the errors.

But it was Djokovic who then began to struggle and his American opponent took the advantage with a fine volley at the net to pull one break back and reduce the deficit to 4-3.

Djokovic recovered from the lapse though and with the rest of the set going with serve, was able to extend his lead.

Nole made a break in the seventh game of the third set. It was enough for the 22-year old Serb and he eventually found himself serving for the match, sealing the win when Fish returned wide.

Djokovic fired 8 aces to Fish’s 6. Novak hit 31 winners compared to Fish’s 26 , and made 15 unforced errors to his opponent’s 28. The Serb won a total of 99 points to the American’s 78.

Djokovic capitalised on 4 of his 12 chances for break, while Fish converted 1 of his 1 break point.

Novak’s next opponent will be world no.46 Dudi Sela of Israel who shocked world no.15 Spaniard Tommy Robredo 3-1.

Djokovic and Sela have played once in DC tie back in 2006, the Serb won in three sets.
